All popular convection food dryers use systems of perforated drying trays – some are round as these are, others are rectangular. You can apply the methods shown in this video to many vegetables and fruits as well.

These are plain white mushroom chips made in a food dehydrator. They are great as a snack as is, or can be used in other recipes
